Dark Sky Preserve · ON, CA
Torrance Barrens Conservation Reserve
Torrance Barrens is a Dark-Sky Preserve in the District of Muskoka, Ontario, designated by the RASC in 1999. Camping and fires are allowed only at six free, first-come campsites marked with orange tent signs, each with a fire cairn and backcountry toilet. There is no water, cell service or garbage collection, so pack out waste; the Torrance General Store at Highway 169 and Southwood Road sells approved firewood.
