Spruce Woods Provincial Park
Spruce Woods Provincial Park near Glenboro became Manitoba's first Dark-Sky Preserve in 2022, designated by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. Park buildings use shielded amber lighting, and zenith readings run 21.5 to 21.7 magnitudes per square arcsecond. Interpreters run night sky programs at the visitor centre in summer, and the Winnipeg RASC Centre holds an annual star party here.
