Sisters, Oregon
Sisters, Oregon, a town of about 3,475 in Deschutes County, was certified an International Dark Sky Community in 2025. The city strengthened its outdoor lighting ordinance to qualify, and the town has an astronomy club founded in 2000. It is about 20 miles from Bend, with Deschutes National Forest on three sides.
