Mesa Verde National Park
Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado became an International Dark Sky Park in 2021, the 100th in the world. In summer, rangers hold Wednesday night sky programs at the Morefield Campground Amphitheater: a short talk, then laser tours and telescope viewing. Ancestral sites and trails close at night, but Morefield Campground, the Far View Lodge area and park-road pullouts stay open for stargazing.
