NASA launched the Harmony module to the International Space Station on October 23, 2007, as part of the STS-120 space shuttle mission. This addition is significant for sky-watchers because it expanded the space station's size and capabilities, making it a more prominent object in the night sky. The Harmony module serves as a utility hub and crew quarters, joining other international modules to form a larger space station. Astronomers can look for the International Space Station as it passes overhead, now larger and more visible due to the addition of the Harmony module.
