NASA, Virginia Launch Power Partnership for Energy Security

NASA is partnering with the Virginia Department of Energy to support informed decisions for effective energy generation, delivery, and use. This partnership is significant for sky-watchers because it highlights the importance of space research in everyday life, including energy security. By providing solar, meteorological, and future weather risk datasets, NASA is helping to promote sustainable energy practices that can also reduce light pollution, making the night sky more accessible for stargazing. The partnership may lead to more energy-efficient solutions that benefit both the environment and astronomy enthusiasts.
