A waning crescent Moon appeared near Jupiter in western Leo before dawn on October 6, 2026, offering a striking view for sky-watchers. This celestial alignment is of interest to astronomy enthusiasts as it provides a rare opportunity to see the Moon and Jupiter in close proximity. For those who want to capture similar images, a single short exposure can be sufficient to freeze the moment, as seen in the photographer's 0.5-second shot. The alignment also featured all four Galilean moons visible near Jupiter.
