ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot completed three spacewalks outside the International Space Station in less than 15 days, spending nearly 20 hours in the extreme environment of space. This achievement is notable for sky-watchers because it demonstrates the capabilities of astronauts to perform critical maintenance and upgrades to the Station, which is often visible in the night sky. As the International Space Station continues to orbit the Earth, observers can look up to spot it passing overhead, a reminder of the ongoing work of astronauts like Sophie Adenot.
