Pennsylvania has no statewide outdoor lighting law. House Bill 1803 (Responsible Outdoor Lighting Control Act, 2023) would have required shielded, 2,700 K or cooler lights on state-funded projects; it cleared a House committee in April 2024 but we found no enactment. Pittsburgh regulates its own streetlights: full cutoff, 3,000 K maximum.

- Pittsburgh (opens in new tab): Chapter 424A, Dark Sky Lighting Principles in Streetlights: projects replacing or installing more than ten city streetlights must use full cutoff fixtures at no more than 3,000 K (2,700 K preferred). Private lighting is not covered.
