# Dark Sky Law: Northwest Territories

The Northwest Territories has no territorial or municipal outdoor-lighting law. Its dark-sky protection comes solely from Wood Buffalo National Park, a federally managed RASC Dark-Sky Preserve since 2013 that straddles the NWT-Alberta border and is administered in part from Fort Smith, NWT.
