# Dark Sky Law: Manitoba

Manitoba Parks, a branch of the provincial government, runs a dark-sky preserve program under which Spruce Woods Provincial Park became the province's first RASC-designated Dark-Sky Preserve on September 4, 2022. Inside the preserve, outdoor lighting must be fully shielded and low-intensity, and most park lights are sensor-controlled and switched off overnight.
