Kansas has no statewide light pollution or outdoor lighting statute. The lighting-related provisions in the DarkSky policy database cover highway advertising control and sign standards, and wind energy systems, including aviation obstruction lighting and light-mitigating technology. NCSL's state roundup does not list Kansas. General fixture rules are left to cities and counties.
