Alaska has no statewide outdoor lighting or light pollution statute; NCSL's roundup omits it and the DarkSky policy database lists no Alaska statute. Lighting is handled locally. Anchorage's code, for one, requires parking lot lighting at nonresidential sites to be designed to prevent glare to motorists and light trespass onto neighbors.

- Anchorage, AK (opens in new tab): Anchorage Municipal Code 21.07.100 covers parking facilities at nonresidential sites and requires lighting designed to prevent glare to motorists on public streets and light trespass onto neighboring property, checked during site plan review. Single- and two-family homes are not covered.
